hi, just wondering if anyone could tell me of anywhere in Co. Donegal (in the Letterkenny area) where I could have my wedding ceremony? My husband to be and I have different religions and would like to get married somewhere other than a church or registry office. Could anyone give us some info???

I don't know if they have marriage commissionaires or not where you live. But in Canada we do and they are allowed to perform non-denominational ceremonies that are recognized by the government. We are getting married next year and a friend of my fiance is a commissionaire and so will be performing our wedding at a an outdoor ceremony at a nice hotel. We will then move inside for the reception, dinner and dance. Good luck in your search for a non-traditional wedding also.

There is a hotel-Harvey's Point Hotel- in Donegal that is absolutely amazing!!! I have heard fantastic things about the location and, from the pictures, it seems like the perfect location!! They offer civil ceremonies, once you register (there is a link on their website for more information) and they offer fantastic menu options for the reception. The web site is http://www.harveyspoint.com/weddings/weddings.htm

Congrats!!
