i'm not fat, but i'm not skinny. i have short red hair and freckles. i'm very shy when i get around a group but can talk away when i'm one on one and after i get to know you. why are guys looking for skinny size 0 girls with long blonde hair and who treat them like sh*t when there are girls like me who can treat you like a king? is it because we are not "trophy wife" material?

poster, i am not stereotyping. i am merely telling it how i see it where i live. i treat a guy right, and he treats me like sh*t, but if a skinnier or prettier girl treats him like sh*t, he runs back to her after dumping me. i'm talking about life experiences.

I'm a size 18 and found a great hubby who loves me for me. My guy happens to love curvy full bodies. My hair is red and I have freckles too. I look kind of like an irradiated leprechaun. But my husband still adores the way I look. You are just looking in the wrong place honey.

Younger men, in particular, haven't the experience to know what qualities are important in a long term relationship. In other words, they aren't looking for Miss Right (you) at the moment. Rather they are looking for Miss Right Now (skinny blondes et. al.) Very good looking or successful men are judged by other men based on their partner. This is the 'trophy wife' syndrome, but such relationship aren't lasting nor fulfilling for woman other than the superficial ones themselves.
Just keep looking. You'll find some less shallow guys. Just be sure to examine your own standards, and not discount guys based on your own superficial standards. Women who say they just 'can't find a good guy' are usually limiting themselves based on superficial qualities as well.

A lot of guys are like that, but NOT all guys. Even some very good looking guys see past the facade of size. As guys mature (and only some mature, most just age!), they realize that good looks most certainly do fade and it's not the most important thing. I'm over 6 feet tall with red hair and also very shy and I have a lot of guys asking me out - I'm not skinny either. Just be confident in who you are and how you look and that will turn a lot of heads! Most of all, it's important that you feel good about yourself and know that you don't need a man to make you happy.

Why are you stereotyping? I know alot of guys (myself included) that don't WANT the size 0 girls you speak of...too skinny! I like my girl with curves.

Sweetie that's just life and its sux i understand how u must feel about it and that is only up to them to know really why? they can't choose other unperfect body girls to treat them better than other girls who only have the beauty in the outside then on the inside.

It is a matter of preference, and many men are attracted to shaplier women as they mature. My boyfriend loves my shape and I am 5'8, size 12, big boobs, big hips and thighs and one hell of a booty... he says I am the most beautiful woman he has ever seen and I have the perfect body. Am I skinny? Definitely NOT.
Find a man who loves you and your body for what it is. You're gorgeous girl. :)
p.s. Please don't listen to any man who says "we want" or "we like". ALL MEN LIKE DIFFERENT THINGS. Dr. Love up there sounds like he has an ego the size of China. I know many men who love redheads... Don't listen to the bullshit.

Ok. Usually guys want girls that are really hot looking. No details... And hate to say it but red hair isnt the fav. color. We prefer blond, or brown--And blue eyes :D And were not always looking for super skinny girls, just ones with good natural sized breasts, nice round tight butt and a nice smile/face

You could say men are programmed to look for the "hottest" girls in the crowd.. Just keep looking, and you'll find guys who are actually interested in personalities and not just looks. They're rare, but they are out there.

Because they want the girl that the media says is the in-girl. Thats why so many people dye their hair blonde.
