It is God the Father, the only one who can determine our eternal destiny.

Who do you think has power to "cast into hell"?? Surely, the Devil wouldn't want to cast himself there, would he?

For even the Devil fears God...

Peace be with you.

Jesus is referring to God because He is our judge and we are to fear Him only. Jesus wouldn't want us to fear the devil because He has given Christians authority over him.

Please purchase other translations of the Bible.
Please.
The KJV was originally published in the 1600's.
Please try the CEV or the NIV or the NEB.
Luke 12:5 has Jesus urging his disciples to fear God and God only.
Why?
Not only can He take our immediate life away, He could if He chose take away our prospects of eternal life.
Many can take away our immediate life, only one can take away our prospects for eternal life.
So who is wisest to respect, obey, listen to ....or if you insist: fear?

This is speaking of God- who will in the end send those who never believe in Him to Hell...

Rather fear HIM (Almighty God)- for only he can do this.

When Jesus rose from the dead, He rose victorious over death & also has the keys to death & hell.

the second answerer is almost right. WE are the only ones that can determine our final destiny by either accepting or rejecting Christ as our saviour.
