Your body is made up of 70% water. Becoming dehydrated can cause many different health issues. Your body can not properly function if it is not hydrated. A good rule of thumb to follow is 1/2 of your weight converted into ounces, so if you weigh 100 lbs, you would need 50 oz. per day. Also, if you drink anything like soda or a caffinated beverage it can deydrate you. You need to drink an aditional amount of water equal to the size of that beverage to counteract the effects.
I never used to drink water and wondered why so many people thought it was such a big deal. When I finally started drinking the right amount I found out why!
you can sleep better, digest better, have fewer headaches, regulate your weight better....(it is one of the best kept weight watching tips of all times) over or under weight, water helps you get to where you should be.
your brain function improves, meaning memory, moods, everything. Water is very important.

Lots of pretty good material here. *nods* Good work everyone!
Just wanted too go into a lil bit more detail on what drinking plain old water does for you.
Your kidneys have the arduous task of sifting thourgh our blood ALL the time. One of the VERY key ingredients too this is good old fashioned H2O. Once those lil guys sift out the gunk they have too have a substance too put it into so that we can wee the gunk away. That substance is water.
NOW then... If we are drinking soda pop or some other such stuff your body has too sift thru that first before it can make use of the water.
*has a bit of water before continuing*
So! In short! Drinking plenty of good old fashioned plain water is a kidney freindly thing too do. Having said that... eight glasses a day is more than enough too keep you heading too the potty on an appropriate schedule. Let's not over due it then.
Hope this helps.

Since 70%of the human body is made up of water, not drinking enough water will leave you underhydrated or even dehydrated...
Drink at least 3 to 4 bottles of water a day

Not only does it give you proper hydration, but it is also good for your kidneys. I have heard so many stories of people getting kidney infections, kidney stones, and even getting a build up of toxins from not drinking water. It helps to cleanse your system.

Our bodies are composed of 60% water, therefore everything in our bodies functions off water. It helps keep our organs in proper funtion, as well as our brain and skin. It flushes out impurites, and regulates metabolism as well.

I do not remember the exact percentage, but I read (health-related magazine) that more than 50% of headaches people experience are due to partial dehydration. So, up your daily water intake and suffer less headaches. :)
