Losing Weight will not flatten your stomach.
Flattening your stomach will not reduce your weight.
Size, Shape, Bodyfat and Bodtweight are all separate issues, and each can be changed without affecting the others.
Waist Exercises (NOT situps, leglifts and crunches) will increase the Resting Tone of the muscles that keep your abdominal cavity compressed. They will also increase your Trunk Mobility, so that your breathing and general movement will be improved, too.
Try Salsa, Flamenco, Capoeira, or you can do exercises on a turntable (rotator, twist disc etc). A Pilates class is less dynamic, but will teach you how to balance your abdominal (core) functions.

The only way to lose fat is to lose it everywhere. There are plenty of products out there that claim that they can target specific fat because they know that is want you want. Sadly, it just doesn't work.
The first thing you will have to do is to lose weight until your stomach looks like what you want. Your butt will lose weight too.
Second, (you can do this at the same time) start doing weight training for your butt like squats or lunges. Cardio, like running, will help to a lesser degree.
In the end, you will have a flat stomach and a shapely butt, both of which will be firm and healthy.

i think of that firming your abdomen is unquestionably certainly one of the toughest issues conceivable yet don't get discouraged. purely consume portioned quantities of foodstuff and attempt skipping! It rather enables. Do situps, lie on the floor and purely elevate your shoulders, do it for 2 minutes for starters and slowly boost on a daily basis. you will no longer see outcomes quickly away yet yet another 5-6 weeks ought to be sure some severe firming.

Just chiming in to agree with Steven. All the sit-ups in the world are not going to help you unless you loose body fat. You can have six-pack abs and a layer of fat hiding it!

You don't. You can't spot decrease. You can a) strengthen your abdominal muscles and b) lose weight all over. But you can't just decide WHERE you'd like to lose fat from.
