I don't think I can take it any more. I've been dating this person for two years and they refuse to read, including the news. Should I break up or is there a way to get this person to change? The "romantic" part of the relationship is awesome (if you get my drift) but the intellectual part is horrible. We don't connect on anything other than the physical level. What should I do?

I understand where you're coming from. News whores like me need news man-whores with whom to debate. Sorry, hon, but non-readers never change until they have to — and then they become soulless corporate shills. If you only connect on the physical level, why not subtly shift the relationship to friends-with-benefits level until you find someone worthy of you?

Almost all the time, physical is not enough. For lack of a better way to describe, "You can find a good piece of azz anywhere."

To me the only thing worse then a dumb person is a mean person. I am not saying to break up, because everyone can improve, but you can only do so much thinking for another person.

If you feel fed up embarrassed, fix it or get out.

Can he/she read? If they can, and you're aggrevated by their ignorance, then my suggestion is MOVE ON? Sex is important, but it is by far NOT the most important aspect of a relationship.
