This idea came to me while I was listening to an explaination of a bible passage and thought how much easier it would be if we threw out the passage and replaced it with the explaination instead. That got me thinking on rewriting the whole bible and since I am no expert I thought about putting it out to the world in Wikipedia self editting format.
I know there are people who will create crazy things in it, but over time shouldn't it be sensible like Wikipedia is?

Interesting theory....I'm not sure how well that's going to work for you, especially because so many people see so many things in the bible differently. If you do find something let me know though, like I said, sounds interesting.

You could make a new section at the Religion wiki for this - http://religion.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

It is an openly editable site for all religious-related content. It is running on the same software as Wikipedia, but doesn't have the same policies about needing to be encyclopedic or neutral.

Joseph Smith and Mohamed tried it. There's nothing stopping you.

It would not be inspired writing, therefore worthless.
