True evolution is meant to become better adapted to our environment so it makes me wonder to why monkeys would still be here if they evolved into something better, that makes no sense. Why evolve if you don't need to.

Yes, I thought of that a long time ago. I also thought of it the last 854 times someone posted the question here. The answer is still the same. We did NOT evolve "from monkeys", and no scientist has ever claimed we did. Any scientist would laugh at the absurdity of the idea. The ONLY people who EVER mention the idea of humans evolving from monkeys are religious fundamentalists who know so little about science that they actually believe scientists could think that!

im honestly against racism, but when we can tell that you are either black or trying to be black just by how ur typing thats just stupid man.
Anyway, this question has only been asked a million times before always by people who, like you, dont understand evolution.
We did not evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor. Notice that i would rather believe we are the result of millions of years of evolution, rather than that we were just made from dirt.

Ook.
I often hear/read this objection. Leaving aside taxinomic (sp?) disputes about what constitutes "a monkey" I cannot see why a species we, or any other species, evolved from should necessarily be extinct.
Why shouldn't a species coexist with another species that evolved from it?

Coz we didn't evolve from monkeys we evolved from (and are) apes. And apes live in the jungle (and are evolved for life there) and we don't. Learn some science. Then some grammar. Then say no to jesus.

roflmao. Not again. Seriously, do people not even read?
We didn't evolve from monkeys. We both evolved from a common ancestor.
Go back to school because your education is seriously lacking. If not school, at least actually research it because you obviously have the internet.

It is because there are many diffrent speciese, or kinds, of monkeys. They come in all diffrent shapes and sizes. Our speciese is a realitve to the primate (monkey) race.

Using that same logic, there wouldn't be any stupid people left once the smart ones came along.
But we can see that it doesn't work that way now, can't we?
