I don't understand how you can lower an almighty God to just a man like the rest of us. And in the Bible it says that Jesus was tempted by the devil. If he was truly God should he be able to get tempted by the devil? I am muslim and i believe jesus is a prophet, and God is God. He has no father, no son, no wife. He is the creator.

I am not trying to insult or anything. I just want to know how you can believe this, and how you can say that God has a Son.

By the way, in reply to one of your replies, Jesus will return to tell the people who believe in him as God that he is NOT God. That is what i believe anyway.

I don't find it hard to believe that God can make himself a man, I just don't see why he needs to. This is why God send prophets to guide them to the right path. You don't need God to become human to tell you the same thing. And also, what do you mean how can God be God if he is not human? That doesn't make sense. God is God. He created everything, something a man could not do. He created angels, mankind, jinns (other life form). Can a man do this?

MC - where did you get those sources? The prophet (pbuh) never said that Allah had daughters. Allah does not have daughters. Islam is a monotheist religion, we believe in one God and one God only, No godesses or others equal to him. And who said our religion isn't loving. You really have to truly find out about the religion and not what you hear on the news.

To homosexualityexplained... "Islam's people are accursed and live in poverty not because they have God's favor, but because they have his disfavor" ..Erm.. It is not just muslims who live in poverty you know, so are people of all other faiths. TRUST me on this one, we have God's favour.

"God comes to our level. You're god would not, hence, Allah is make believe...a demon posing as God." <<< But why? He doesn't need to. If you truly believed in God you would not have to have him show you himself in person. How does it make God make believe or a demon if he is not human? :S..I'd rather worship God.

"God does whatever He wants to do. God lowered Himself, to walk as a man" - Yes he can do as he wants, but again, doesn't need to.

"God became a man first, then created all things through that man" - Man creating the universe??? that's believable. Why not just create the universe as God?

"Islam exists only to keep pressure on Israel, for they rejected their Messiah." -WHAT???:S

In Jesus dwells ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Col.2:9 below) -

oGod the Father
oThe Holy Spirit of God the Father
oThe Word of God the Father

The only begotten son of God the Father (Jn.1:14 below), Jesus (the Word - Jn.1:1, Jn.1:14 below), His beloved Son (Matt.3:17 below), was conceived of the Holy Ghost (Matt.1:20 below).

It is God the Father who conceived in Mary (blessed among women) His very Word through His very Holy Spirit (Matt.1:20 below).

Col.2:9 For in him dwelleth ALL the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Jn.1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, (Matt.1:20, Matt.3:17 below)) full of grace and truth.

Jn.1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (Re.1:6, Lk.1:47 below).

Re.1:6And hath made us kings and priests unto God (Jn.1:1 above) AND his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Lk.1:47And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour (Jn.1:14, Jn.1:1, Re.1:6 above).

Lk.1:68 Blessed [be] the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

Matt.3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son (Matt.1:20 below), in whom I am well pleased.

Matt.1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost (Jn.1:14, Matt.3:17 above).

There are no facts written in God's Word, as you put it; no evidence = unproven fact. Believing it to be true doesn't make it fact. 1. You obviously have no understanding at all of the big bang theory. 2. These complex information systems you speak of are given order by humans to better understand everything. We cannot categorise, calculate or analyse if we have no system for doing so. 3. Random chance is actually a far more likely explanation. You need to open your mind to the true scale of the universe. 4. DNA coding is not digital. You need to do some basic A-level biology. 5. Oh where to start? It has been shown that organic matter can be be produced under certain (early Earth) conditions, look up Stanley Miller. The complexity of life didn't just occur in a few years, these organic molecules took hundreds of millions of years to evolve into even the most basic of bacteria, then the same time again to become multicellular. There are no huge leaps involved it is just a case, again, of understanding scale; consider a million years, and realise it is a very small fraction of history. 6. It seems quite apparent that the only reason you think God is the best explanation for all these things is because you can not comprehend any other explanation, which is the whole reason the idea of God exists; to explain what is not understood. Conscience is a result of biological processes, there is nothing more to it. 7. Actually no, God (as an idea) is a greater source of evil than anything else in existence. In fact I would argue that until one can cast off the chains of worship one is never free to truly become a good person. Frankly, considering all the evil that has been done in God's name I imagine that, should He exist, Heaven will be a very sparsely populated place.

You do not understand God....Allah is not God, Islam knows nothing of God. Islam's people are accursed and live in poverty not because they have God's favor, but because they have his disfavor.

Here is what you do not understand. God comes to our level. You're god would not, hence, Allah is make believe...a demon posing as God. The real God comes to the level of man.

You put God in a box to think that He cannot walk as a man. God does whatever He wants to do. God lowered Himself, to walk as a man. That's where you do not understand the Love of God. Islam doesn't know God at all.

God became a man first, then created all things through that man.

Islam exists only to keep pressure on Israel, for they rejected their Messiah.

Turn from this lie and come to the truth.

Like you said, God is the creator. you believe that he created the earth and the heavens just by saying "let the earth and heavens be" yet you find it hard to believe he can make himself a man? You claim that God is so high and mighty yet he can not do something which is relatively easy to all his other accomplishments. He is not lowering himself to any level by doing so. In fact by coming to this earth as a man is the greatest show of Love towards us, something i am affraid the quran doesnt teach you. Islam is a religion in which God requires you to send your son to die for him. Christianity is a faith in which God sent his Son to die for you.

The devil attempted to tempt christ, but he did not succeed. As for when you say that you believe in allah, and god is god, he has not father, son, wife etc i will refer you to something in your own religion. Muhammed too originally wrote in the quran of Al-lat, Al-Uzza and manat as the daughters of allah. These were the goddesses which were worshipped as allah's daughters iby the pagans in the time of muhammed. He did this of course to get the backing of the pagans at the time, later though he changed it saying he was actually tempted by the devil and it was the devil who recited those lines to him and God now corrected him, even though it took a really long time to let him know of it!!!

This is for Kit, who asked for any "stable" proof of the existence of God, other than what the bible says. Im sure you are familiar with einsteins theory of relativity E=mc2. Well, when he applied this equation to the universe, he came out with a further equation whihc showed that the world is expanding but also experiencing negative accelaration, or in other words, slowing down. The only thing that explodes and slows down is a bomb, hence how the big bang theory came into being. The only problem though, was that einsteins equations showed that although the big bang theory is true, the big bang and hence the universe must have started from a singularity (from nothing), and this implies the need for a creator. This has upset alot of scientists who are atheist who are now desperatley trying disprove the big bang thoery because of its theological implications. unfortunately, they can not.

Indeed God is the creator, of a universe so vast that we will never fully comprehend it or it's laws. How much less can we then comprehend God? If we cannot even begin to comprehend the Creator then we can know nothing absolutely nothing about 'him'. Surely the creator of ALL can be and is ALL, and furthermore is ALL at once and for eternity.
We mere mortals use such words as omnipotent, everlasting, eternal, ineffable, almighty, infinite,
These simply put say that we cannot (in human form at any rate) even remotely comprehend the nature of the Creator. The God you believe in (or profess so to do) is the same as the one in which I believe. There are many paths but only one destination.
I do not malign your chosen path, please have the courtesy to do the same for me and any other person of any creed/religion/faith who like you is struggling to live a good and worthwhile life, until at the last they meet with the Creator.
Tolerance and LOVE is what Jesus Christ (the prophet of God in your belief) taught. Is that not worthy of our emulation?

Jesus was 100% God and 100% man, yes I know it doesn't add up, but remember that ultimatly He is God, God can do all things.
Jesus was tempted in every way possible yet he was still without sin. He had to come into the world inorder to save mankind. If we put God into a box then we limit Him. We need to understand that he loves us with a love that we can't grasp or will ever understand. remember He created us to be just like Him, in His image. But we sin, and He is a Holy God who refuses to accept sin into his heaven. Jesus had to come into the world to be tempted, beaten and die like a normal sinful person. He had to go through that so that he would know what it was like to be a real human. He had to die so our sins would be forgiven. remember i said that God refuses to accept sin, well because of the death of Jesus we can be forgiven of that sin. He washes away our sin as if we had never sinned. God refuses to even remember our sin. Is Allah like that? Jesus takes us just as we are. Is Allah like that? He makes us into a new person. Is Allah like that?

Just because you can't understand that God is three charactor doesn't mean it can't be true, He is God after all, and we are mere mortals, even you have to agree with that.

Jesus isn't God's son as I am a son. He has always been the Son, God the Father didn't become the father, he has always been the Father.
Jesus is the creator too. Look into the first book of the Bible the book of Genisis, God say's 'Let us make man in our own image.' Who is He talking about, why doesn't He say 'Let us make man in my image'? The reason is because He wasn't a single charactor He is a part of a Trinity He is three.
Stop looking at the Christian God as a human God, God is never like a human, never will be, He is God and more powerful and amazing, loving, just, gracious than we could ever imagine.

If Jesus is just a prophet, what was His message to the people? Why will he be the one that returns?

If God COULDN'T be a man, he couldn't be God. It's logical. God created humans, right? Only if man created God could God be unable to become a man. Your problem is the idea that the Almighty 'lowered' himself to become human. He humbled himself. That's very different. Believers are called to be humble too, following Christ's example of humility. It was love that prompted him to empty himself of his heavenly glory, to walk amongst us so that we could see God in Christ, dying to save his creatures.

In the Bible Jesus is called 'a prophet greater than Moses.. listen to him'. Do you know what Jesus said and prophecied? He is coming again to judge the living and the dead - only God can do that!

Now, the Father / Son problem. You're going to have to stop thinking about sex. Greek words were used to write in the Bible of God the Father, and the sonship of Christ. English words cannot do justice to those Greek words and that's why we get confused. In the Bible we're told that Christ "is the firstborn of all creation". But there are two Greek words that could be used for 'firstborn'. One means, literally, the first to be born. The Bible does not use that word - ever - of Christ! It uses the other word that means pre-eminence, priority. Christ is over and above every created thing because he is the Creator! God is Spirit, remember, and cannot be confined to our limited idea of a being. He consists of three 'persons', Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Father revealed himself in Jesus, then when Jesus returned to heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit.

You'll get a much better, clearer idea when you read the Gospel of John, in the Bible. May God's light flood your soul.

I am Jewish and I am dating a Muslim for over 5 years now. We are both not religious, but somehow reading the bible and the Quran I see your point. BUT..... Jesus did exist and therefore he was the only one from then until now that people still question and can't find the truth! Some say they know through the bible, and some say that the bible was tampered with but not the Quran. Is there proof? Some say they don't need proof, they just believe, they have faith. I think what you have in your heart and what you want to believe is fine, as long as you're happy in believing it.

Before I start I mean NO OFFENCE OR DISRESPECT to anyone.

1. How can we prove that God really exists?
2. I know that the Bible says that God exists but do they have any stable evidence?
3. If God really does exist then who, what and where is He?
4. Does the Devil exist? (oh darn now i'm gonna get all philosophical on everyone, so now i'm gonna stop).

God who is He really and Why doesn't He show Himself?

once again i mean no offence or disrespect to anyone.

We all need something to believe in when we are stressed or in trouble, whether that be god, allah, etc or even not believing. If we look at all the almighty beings in this way then it comes down to the fact that we ourselves create the faith which in turn means that we our god. So in answer to your question God can be both male and female.

Jesus was God in the form of a man, with the standard human feelings, emotions, flaws etc, which is why he was able to be tempted, and also why we can refer to God as a man. The Bible also refers to Him as a man, which is why we do.
