I have the same problem, when I'm trying not to flirt, the guy (usually a wierdo) thinks I am, and when I am trying to express interest in a guy, he's oblivious.

I wouldn't exactly say that is flirting. That's more like send the invitation that you view them as a dependable friend. Flirting is be overly mean or nice to a guy. Flirting can be eye fluttering, a certain whip of your hair, play hitting, and so on. If you don't know when you're sending out signals then pay more attention to girls that are. Also clarify to the guys that think you're flirting that you aren't. I've never really misunderstood that a girl was flirting with me as much as I didn't realize a girl was flirting with me. Besides everyone know that there is harmless flirting, that's what friends of the opposite sex do all the time. That's part of what keep the friendship interesting. No problem. It is showing interest of a romantic or sexual nature without the commitment. I love flirting, it garners attention and attracts the ladies. However, some ppl get upset or offended by it, but they are just mad because they can't do it! Enjoy and ask anything anytime!

If you're serious when you tell a guy that you love him, it's not flirting.
If you're not serious about what you say to a guy, but are behaving affectionately, then you're just teasing/kidding/flirting.

flirting isnt a bad thing. i flirt a lot and i have a gf but she is cool with it. People can consider almost any small talk flirting so i would just keep doing what you are doing.
