Oh if you think that's bad try doing it when someone is recording what you are saying.

It's Mur...der and what a twit. Though I have to say it makes you stop and slow down and think about what you saying. That is until the next time. Just laugh and the world laughs with you.

Those who know you, will know you for what you really are. A gibbering idot when talking to folk. Me too by the way, and me as old as I am.

Get a book on public speaking and it will help you overcome this raving like a lunatic stuff. lol. Then you can get up And say in a broad Yorkshire Accent "Unaccumstomed as I am to Public Speaking thou knows.....blah blah blah". They'll all fall asleep as you will talking too slowly then. You canna win Laddie.

Yes. Nervous. Or, a tactic people might be using on you to get you to touch on many subjects at once. Shunt it aside. Just cool the conversation and get explicit and succinct. Put the emotional side down. Businesslike. That usually does it. Oh, and .. one more thing. Feelings of inadequacy. You're no better, or worse, than anyone else.

Me me me, oh my God you would not believe how much I rant on when I am nervous, there is just no shutting me up, I could talk for England,Scotland,Wales,Ireland, France, Germany etc, it goes on and on and on and on. I know I am doing it and that makes it worse as I then feel as if I have to explain myself.........and the circle continues on and on. I usually want to die the next day and never want to meet the people from the night before ever again, eugh a horrible feeling. Do you know what I mean because I am more than happy to explain it to you........Sorry am a little nervous.........xxxxx

I call this "puking" out everything I know.
I use to do this quite a bit, until a friend told me about it. Since I became aware of this I try to not do it, but when I do start "puking" out info, I stop myself and tell the other person or persons "Sorry, I sometimes get carried away". Then I ask a question, so that they can talk.

Yeah me too or when there is uncomfortable silence ill start talking about some random topic and probably look ridiculous. I guess the best thing to do is to take a deep breath, talk slower, force yourself to stop. I also use my hands when I talk or when I get excited. I had to start sitting on my hands to get myself to stop. Well, take care!

Yes, I start schpieling off at the mouth when I'm nervous, or in deep thought, I tend to talk to myself when I'm very deep in thought, just start yaking away 19 to the dozen!

When I'm nervous I don't speak much. Then again... Yeah I'm quite a chatter box when I'm trying to impress someone I'm nervous around.

Oh yeah, all the time. More and more things just keep coming to my mind that I want to share with them and I just can't get myself to stop! I always feel like a fool.
