I am a photographer and would like to sell my work....but i dont know the best way.
Any ideas?

Unless you are completely married to some high ideals about "your art," I'd try working with a struggling newspaper or web publisher to provide photojournalistic images. It's a matter of being in the right place at the right time and if you've got an image no one else has, chances are you'll not only get your photo published, but you'll get paid. It may not be a lot but it's a foot in the door. Then, if you get a number of these under your belt, you can then use them as an entree to introduce yourself to a gallery.

Perhaps you need to create a portfolio and go to galleries. I really don't care for galleries though and see that there are pretty good photos for sale on ebay....

You could try hosting them at coffee shops or hair salons in your area, provided they are printed nicely and framed as well. I would go to a professional quality place to print them too.
