I'm trying to find out how do go about inviting a soldier for a thanksgiving dinner from the fort sam area

I usually just have them over for stuffing.

I don't know about fort sam but here on Fort Bliss, all you need to do is call the base operator and they will gladly connect you with a number of an organization to connect with a soldier to share thanksgiving dinner with.

I'd say call up the church on post and ask them. They would know of any program there is, young soldiers just posted there for the first thanksgiving away or say a particular soldier that would like to come. If nothing else they would keep their ears open for someone wanting to come over. Or you could try the Noncommissioned wives group. Try logging on to the post website. You could post something there or find some information.

And you know....... my sincerest thanks and appreciation for thinking to have a soldier over for the holiday.

No. Don't do that. Try inviting a family whose dad or mom has been killed in the line of duty. It will mean a lot to them.
