I have my treadmill in my office and I want to watch tv in here while I walk but I don't want to have to go buy a tv.

You need a video card with a built in tv tuner, or an external tv tuner. It should come with it's own software to run tv through your computer.

Yes but How depends on your computer. You may need an additional device to do so. In fact if there isn't a 'cable type' connector on your computer somewhere you probably will need some type of tuner card.
A better idea might be to download the programs you want and play them on your computer. Or watch DVDs. Both my laptop and desktop have TV and I find I never use it.
For the price, size and convienece I would suggest a TV

You can, but you need a device between the cable feed and the computer that converts the signal to the right standard for a computer screen. The device is not that expensive, my friend has his cable hooked to his computer and watches TV in a window while working on the puter at the same time. Go to circuit city or best buy, they can sell the item to you.

You can buy a new tv at walmart for under $80, Anything that interfaces with your computer is going to be more expensive. Or get a used tv in a pawn shop for $30.

You have to by a PC TV Card. They run from 15 dollars up!

i have a tv tuner card where i can watch tv by attaching an antenna or plug in a tv so i can watch/record it on my computer.. but the quality will be blurry but still watchable.. pretty neat too.. i hook up my PS2 on it to play
