Is something still good after the sell by date?

a sell by date means that the product will expire within a week (usually like eggs and milk). If the sell by date comes, and the store doesnt sell it, they usually donate it to local soup kitchens who can use it within a few days.
An expiration date means that the product is spoiled and should not be used after that date.

The "sell by date" just means that the store can no longer sell it after that date. The expiration date is when it will start to go bad...

The sell by date is the date that the stores should have sold it. The expiration date is the date that the food won't be as fresh as it could.

Sell by means the store has to sell by that date. Expiration is the theoretical date it will start to go bad but don't believe it!

The "sell by " date means that the merchandise must be sold by the date that is printed. The "expiration date" means that the merchandise has expired it's freshness.

the expiration date is da dat when it will expire and u can t eat it anymore cuz its now offiacially rotten

sell by is when you might want to sell or eat the food before that day because then it isnt fresh anymore or atlest not like it was a when you got it and an experation date is when the food you bought is no longer good and goes bad so you dont want to eat that anymore....

usually, as long as it's not more than a couple of weeks. Unless you are talking about beer, then if it's kept cold, it's still good.
