I've noticed alot of times the person doesn't choose a best answer so do they ask questions just to ask or do they even read the answers sometimes I spend alot of time researching a question and then it seems the person didn't even look at the answers. Did you know you get 3 points for choosing best answer?

They are lazy.
This site is all about instant gratification, so they don't care about people who took the time to write out an answer for them.
They are immature.
They lack decision-making powers.

Pick one - I favor #2.
One can also use such laziness to their advantage, points-wise.

properly, i think of alot of the Q's are what I call "impulse questions". The asker is in some form of psychological state or is making an attempt to coach something to the international and: a) they are not getting the respond they have been searching for b) they did not desire an answer in any respect c) they forgot that they asked a query d) they get sidetracked with their lives or yet another internet site Now, I truthfully have accidentally left questions with out choosing a appropriate answer (in general because of the fact of D) and that i've got additionally chosen the question to pass to a vote at situations because of the fact i had to verify how a majority of people felt concerning the question... solid success.

When I ask a question I pick a best answer if there is a clear cut one. If it is more of an opinionated question then I usually let the votes decide. I do get aggravated when I post an answer clearly better than any others and don't get the nod though.

Maybe it wasn't a serious question in the first place.

Besides- how do you pick a best answer if its a question like "Am I pregnant" or " I just sat on a hill full of fire ants and they are stuck in my bum- what should I do?" "My child is choking on a hot dog- is it normal if he's turning blue?"

Thats another rant....

That's why once a week I check the voting list. More often than not one of the q's I've answered is up for voting. Then it's just a matter of remembering what I've wrote....and it's a best answer for me!! Yay!!

because they don't care what the answer really is. they just want to ask pointless questions that are usually geared to irritate other people.

They're just points.
Very few people are that thorough.

If it drives you crazy do something a lil more meaningful than yahoo questions
