Depends on the state. It is usually the cost of a marriage license, plus any ceremony you wish to hold.

Perhaps your state is here:

For example, I plan to have my wedding at the courthouse and be married by a judge. It will be around $50 for the license. Likely, the judge will do it for free. No fuss, no muss. A $50 wedding! No worries about Bridezillas there.

If your talking in the UK, it used to be about £40 for the ceremony and then it depends on whether you hold this at the registry office or at a private (registered) venue. They often charge by either a room rate for the day or through the cost of the catering / drinks.

Depends on where the ceremony is to be held (state, country) as well as how extravagant (courthouse civil vs park civil) and if you plan to have a reception afterward

In Nebraska the courthouse ceremony would only cost $15, where as Nevada would cost $55.

This might help though:

you're certainly perplexed and the respond you chosen grew to become into an particularly undesirable one. this guy or woman lied to you. you're in basic terms legally married in the state of california in case you prepare for and acquire a criminal marriage license and then stick to by way of with a criminal wedding ceremony ceremony. sure, a civil ceremony is a similar situation as a marriage. it only ability that that's non-non secular. it is each and all of the term "civil" ability. you have a civil ceremony everywhere you like and you will invite all your individuals and family contributors to attend. it only ability that there are actually not any prayers or hymns sung and no point out of God or Jesus, or the different god. that's all civil ceremony ability...even though this is in basic terms as criminal as a non secular ceremony and could be only as proper. civil ceremony does not only advise getting married on the courthouse, even with the undeniable fact that one and all courthouse marriages are civil ceremonies. all they do is ask each and each of you in case you're taking one yet another as husband and spouse. no kiss, no jewelry, no not the rest. you are able to invite buddies and family contributors to attend a courthouse wedding ceremony in case you like, yet there is constrained area so call forward. you won't be able to have a courthouse wedding ceremony and then have yet another wedding ceremony. you in basic terms have one wedding ceremony and get married one time. so settle on what form of wedding ceremony you like and then have it that way. there are various beautiful wedding ceremony chapels and different venues in california the place you have the marriage of your targets very inexpensively. please do not hear to people like 'smartaz" who do not comprehend what they are conversing approximately. I truthfully have been and international wedding ceremony planner for some years.

it depends where you plan on getting married. in scotland you need to pay for the marriage notice fee (£50) civil marriage fee (£45) and an extract fee(£8.50) the fees are reviewed annually though. it can also cost you more if you are not getting married in the registry office, i.e. in a hotel or other approved venue. also if you are getting married on a sat they bump it up a bit as well!
its costing me £323.50 to get married in a hotel and that's just the fees!
contact the registrar general for where you live or plan on getting married and take it from there. good luck.
