The key word being "thought." I thought I was in love for the first time with Kenneth Bradey Neal (Gawd, I hope he's not reading this!). I was 16 and no, no, NO I do not still think he was my first love. My first girlie-girl serious crush? Sure. Love? Oh hellllllll no.
That distinction belongs to Robert. No last names here or I might start to give away too much - this is a site with many, many people playing...
Robert stole my heart and my naive belief in love. I was 24. Will always know he was my first love. But will also always be thankful it didn't work out.
I am now in my 30's and with a wonderful man who appreciates and loves me more than I ever thought possible. He is my first adult "real" love. I was too immature at 24 to be in a healthy, adult relationship. Now I know better.
I'm grateful Robert was in my life, but awed and honored to have Brian now. Pure bliss... (:
