How did you do it? What did you experience? How long did it take? I have been on Zoloft for 7 years and my previous attempts to quit or decrease have not been successful. I am only on 25mg/day, and that seems to be as low as I can go without getting the forbidden "brain shivers". Let me know if you have had success. I am not above a little suffering, but I need to believe that it won't last forever!

Wellll, my first question is why have you decided to do thsi?? After 7 years what has changed that makes you think that this is a move toward something that is in your best interest?

Ok that aside try this: take a pill every other day for 10 days or so, then half a pill every day for 10 days or so then half a pill every other day etc...then half a pill every three days...repeat by lowering amount til you're off...gradual on and off is the key...but if the depression comes back during this process please just go back on the pills... there is a difference between being controlled and being cured.

I just started decreasing my doses (I'm down to fifty from 100), so I don't really know. Hopefully you and your doctor are working together on this though. Best of luck to both of us!
