I need to state how a measure of protein levels would be of diagnostic importance in clinical or veterinary medecine?

am I right in thinking I should mention things like:

haemoglobin measured in blood samples can indicate anaemia if too low or polycythaemia if too high.
also, presence of protein in urine samples can indicate damage or disease of kidneys.

What do you think?

you're very correct in that you should mention those things. some other proteins you could mention is albumin and if you don't have enough, the pressure will be different in your Extracellular Fluid, also if you don't have the right amount of proteins your cells won't be able to do protein synthesis and divide....
