Hey everyone I need help please?
My nails are kind of, wrinkled on the top, it looks real weird. They are also weak and the top layer at the ends keep seperating from the bottom. I think I am missing some important nutrition/vitamin or SOMETHING in my diet (and I dont mean diet as in trying to lose weight, I mean diet as in what I eat everyday) Any clue what it could be? Thanks! (I have had this for a while)

Yes you are most probably lacking Vitamin C in your diet because that is what helps nails be healthy and strong.

There are lots of nutrients that contribute to our nails and skin. Vitamins A and D, Calcium and protein for starters so you may want to start taking multivitamins.
Are your hands and nails immersed in water a lot? Constant water contact can make nails soft.

Also some women swear by prenatal vitamins!
But if this has been going on for a long time, you may want to check with a physician.

I think it is something lacking in your diet, but you can take Biotin. It's a vitamin that works for hair and nails. You can also use this medicine called Appearex. You can find it at any pharmacy. It is over the counter

Good Luck!

I am a manicurist and you are not lacking anything in your diet, it sounds like you have a funcus or nail disease. Try soaking your nails in water with Tea Tree Oil added to it to see if it helps, but I think you should see a dermatologist. It sounds like an untreated nail fungus. Have you ever had acrylic nails?

If the Vitamens are not Quick enough for you try buying HARD AS WRAPS nail polish. It hardens weak nails. It is sold at wal-mart, target, ect.

I'm not sure but try having like yogurt, orange juice, and such for calcium, vitamin C, and other nutrients. They help to keep your bones and such healthy and strong. Otherwise, if the problem persists, you should just go see a doctor.

Vitamin C is essential for maintaining healthy capillaries(the things in your body that connect your veins and arteries), which are found in your fingernails. You can get supplements for Vitamin C at any drug store or grocery store. Good luck!

You should eat Jello...it gives your nails the vitamins it needs and keeps them nice and healthy....Also, you should moisturize your hands with a lotion that contains vitamin D. like, jergens or something.
