Now that she is older it is getting very difficult to feed with a spoon
SHe barely has 12oz a day including her cereals that I give her for breakfast and dinner
She eats food well though... she cannot drink from a sippy cup or a glass
she gags with a glass
I know formula/milk is very important i don't know what to do
My pediatrician doesn't help too much

You have to feed her formula with a spoon?? Does she have a medical problem? If not, that is just ridiculous! Put it in a sippy cup or she can go without!

why can't she drink from a sippy? Have you tried a couple different kinds? It's like pacifiers some new borns use, not all of them will like the same kind (hence they make 20 different versions and nipple types) try it out with cups. Or what about straws? It is important, honestly, you shouldn't have fed formula off a spoon...that's just weird and gave the baby the opinion that they could get away with doing what they wanted. Good Luck though!

Bottles are ok until around a year old. With my son, I gave only formula in the bottle and everything else in a sippy cup. Then when he weaned from the formula, he weaned from the bottle too. At 11 months she should be able to drink from a sippy cup. Get one geared for babies under a year (they have recommended ages on the package) to eliminate gagging. Try putting something that tastes good (like 100% juice) with ice cubes (fun to shake) in it to get her interested.

you shouldn't take a bottle away from a baby that young. My pediatrician told me that you should start weaning them from the bottle once they get thier first teeth and introduce a soft spout sippie cup. My 1 year old uses the nuby soft spout sippies, and he has no problem with them. ofcourse with a glass she is going to gag. at 11 months old thier drinking reflex isn't as devoloped like an adults. give her the bottle back and you shouldn't have a problem with her drinking. as for your pediatrician, find a new one. go online and find one that meets your standards. my children see one that is in the top 5 of nevada. don't rush her into being a toddler, you could be doing more harm to her than you think by rushing her. let her be a baby.
By her not drinking enough or eating enough she could have malnutrion or she could be starting to get dehydrated. Is she atleast eating solid foods yet? go to the gerber website or even pampers, they will give you info on when to take the bottle away and they offer great tips on geting them to drink on thier own. good luck and best wishes

Try taking the plastic thing that keeps the sippy cup from leaking out and giver her formula with it again. It will help open it up. You just have to be persistant because she certainly needs formula and even water. You might see a different pediatrician if your current one can't offer much help. Best of luck!

Why won;t she drink from a sippy cup? There are several different kinds out there that make it easier for a smaller child to drink from.

If she is almost a year old she should be able to drink from a sippy cup.

Get another doctor's opinion if you find the pediactrician unhelpful.

Does she drink too much with a glass? I don't have children but I can't really figure out how else she'd be gagging with a cup or glass.

Do you have a child-sized cup or mug? Maybe the glass is too big for her and she gets scared drinking from it?

WOW!!! Bless Your heart Let's see try this: Get a straw and see if that will work, Humans have a built in tendency to suck so try a straw and just see what happens if this works then your child will develop strong JAW Mussels and then then sippy cup should work. E-mail me please so we can chat about this I work with a Doctor family/practice, I will find out more info. for you if you have not received better feedback by then take care and HAVE PATIENTS.
