As a man, what are the qualities you look for in a woman...?

To be a friend?
To be a lover?
To be a girlfriend?
To be a wife?

It seems to me that really the type of woman would be similar in all cases but the main differences are:
The existence of love or type of love.
Sex
Longevity

Is this accurate or am I totally of the mark?

Also, I would want to try and be the first three in a realtionship anyway and maybe the 4th if things go well.

I know guys who seem to think that once a woman is a girlfriend/wife that the whole friendship and lover things goes out the window and this really makes no sense to me.

The qualities I look for in all categories are the same, though I would put more weight on some qualities as you move up the 'hierarchy'. (That is, Friend < Lover < Girlfriend < Wife)

A strong personality is a MUST, no matter what the relationship, as is a level of honesty. I love a woman with a sense of humour is important, and a capacity for thoughtful conversation. I'm looking for a woman who is some of the things I am, and some of the things I'm not (which means I shy away from women who are a carbon copy of me, but with a higher voice). Physical attraction is more important for intimate relations, but I'm more interested in good body image rather than T&A - and I'm old enough to know that it isn't the sole basis of attraction.

All in all, it's not a cut and dry list, and I am quite happy to judge the situation as it plays out...

Miss: To me, the most important things are: Be Herself - not phoney (what you see is what you get); Be honest - don't lie to appease me ( intellectually this insults); Don't Force things (Relationship should not be forced); Have some education (needs to be compatible intellectually) ; don't be overly involved with the "self" ( always focusing on ones needs and wants - "to hell with everyone else as long as I got mine"); Must take care of herself (tries to maintain her body as best as possible); Likes to laugh & have fun (very important in this world today); likes to travel; Likes to have a beer /wine once in a while; Non-smoker; Must be willing to set me straight when warranted ( I need to grow too); Isn't a "neat freak" but keeps her home and belongings in a clean state. Relationship starts off friends -becomes girlfriend - then wife hopefully.

what i look for in a women is for someone who is naturally fluent with their speeach and actions, they have to be spontanious and just let things go with the flow. I dont like having to ask for a kiss it should just happen.
as response to your actual question i would say everything because everyone needs atleast one of them in time of need.
the best thing to do if your not sure what you want, is to pray to whom ever your god or icon of worship may be and ask him/her/it/the animal to provide the answers.
