is there such thing as a cottage cheese diet to help you lose wieght?? i saw on t.v. some girl all she ate was cottage cheese b/c she was trying to lose weght, i had never heard of this..does this actually work? what should i do?

You mst have saw it on that pageant show on MTV. You can, but at the same time...dairy makes you GAIN weight. Maybe she lost the weight because she was starving herself. The girl wasn't eating!

I think you should start out by eating as much protein as possible. (Meats) Staying away from dairy, fruits, and bread for a while, and doing weight training. Weights help you build muscle which burns fat. You won't get bulky like a dude. Trust me. I lost 35 pounds in two months no kidding! Also eat 5 small meals a day! Balanced which should consist of 1 meat, 1 starch, and 1 veggie. Eat about every 3 hours. This will help speed up your metabolism which will give you the fuel that is needed to burn fat.

There are a lot of gimmik diets out there. You may lose weight at first on these diets, but they are unhealthy and hard to maintain, which is why people almost always gain weight back after they stop the diet. What should you do? Eat a balanced diet and exercise. It's math, calories in, calories out. Try the calorie-count website for help figuring out how many calories you need in a day and how many you are consuming.

I believe what you saw was that Pageant show on MTV - she also said that her weight went up and down a lot. Sure it would be a quick diet, but not a long term weight lose solution.
