My favorite is Rainbow Resource. They have literally thousands of items and almost always have the best price.

There's also Children's Books and Timberdoodles, as well as the Homeschool Supercenter.

Veritas Press has an excellent selection of books for the classical education. Timberdoodle has great hands on items for all ages. Alpha Omega has both workbooks and computer programs if you're looking for something packaged up and ready to go. There's SO many catalogues and avenues out there it can be mind boggling!

I know a lot of parents who have used Abeka materials, including a public school principal I used to work with. It is a Christian company. My sister-in-law uses a company that actually sends videos of lessons and she loves that program. If you are interested I can find out the name of the program - just let me know.

I used primarily Bob Jones University or A Beka Books. We did later steer to secular curriculum for math because the books were free. (Long story.) Math is math after all.

It looks like everybody mentioned most of my favorite catalogs already, which are Rainbow and Timberdoodle, but my other favorite is http://www.epsbooks.com/ for their great lang. arts stuff esp. their reading, writing, and vocabulary products. Their online site is good, but I like ordering their paper catalog, and looking at it at home when I have time. Same thing goes with ordering the paper catalog of Rainbow Resource (which is something like almost 1000 pages now)!

I have LOTS of resources on my website for teachers at home and in the classroom. I can get just about ANY resource you need. You can find some on my site, http://www.GoodfortheKids.com. I'm a stay-at-home mom trying to supplement my "retirement" from teaching, so check out what I have for teachers.

We found www.homeschoolsuperstore.com earlier this year, and love it. The customer service is wonderful. We had so many questions this year since I am a freshman. They have so much to chose from! It is wonderful.

Hope this helps.

And for Hommie. It's real nice that school teaches you to talk like that to other people. A good reason for NOT sending my child into the lion's den.

im home schooled and i love it! go to azva.com but it also depends on were you live so you might not be able to go. azva stands for arizona virtual acamy so if you dont live in az. try putting in the state that you live in with va.com at the end.
