My husband and I are trying to decide the best time to get pregnant. Our son is 21 mo. old. If we got pregnant this month, the baby would be due late summer early fall, and our kids would be around 2 1/2 years apart. Is that a good age difference?

I think between 2-4 yrs apart. But anything older than that makes the child more of a burden on the older one (ie babysitting). I know it was for me, me and my youngest brother are 13 1/2 years apart.

My kids are 2 yrs apart, and my brothers and sisters and I were all 2 yrs apart. My daughter is 4 (she turned 4 in Oct) and my son will be 2 in Feb I'm due with my third in Feb. I think it was a good age difference for us, we staid close. My dad remarried and I have a 10 yr old brother I barely know because he's still at home and I'm out with my own kids now. I think close is good and 2 yrs or a bit more if perfect because you always only have one kid in diapers assuming that your child potty trains easily. That is how it has worked for me.

Im partial to 3 years apart, my oldest sister is 3 yrs. younger than me and we are close, but there is still enough of a difference for me to be able to give her a little 'wisdom' lol.

Dont wait too long though, my youngest brother is only 1 year old, and i am 22!

i always wanted my kids to be 3 years apart. But due to infertility issues, there will be almost 6 years between them.....I think that is a great distance between them. Its great to have the first out of diapers before #2 comes along. Best of luck to you!

Yeah I think that's a good age. My daughter is 27 months now and if we conceive this month she will be almost 3, I am glad we waited this long becuase she is potty trained and can understand simple tasks when I ask her to do something, so I think she will be a lot of help to me.

yes 2 1/2 is a good one to me. mine are a little less than that.. its really up to you how far apart you want to have them. my oldest likes to hit her brother becouse she does not like it that she does not get all my time. there are alot of things like that that you should think about before having another. but you never really know how they will do with a brother or sister till you have it so good luck.
