Do you have any other machines on your LAN? Are you using WINS? Ussually that error means that the pc name (host name/netbios name) is already taken by another system.
Look in control panel, system, computer name. Try to find out if there are any other devices on the network with the same name.

It means that you have two IP addresses assigned to the same name. Whether this is an issue with the IP table or whether I have two computers with the same name I can not tell you from the info given.

Go into your router and see if you have the same computer named listed twice in the DHCP table. If you do, delete one. Different for every make/model so caqn not walk you through it - sorry)

Check to be sure that you do not have two computers with the same name. If you do, rename one. (Control Panel > System Icon > Computer Name tab > Change button)

If all else fails, rename the computer that is causing the error and delete it from DHCP. If the name returns, then you have someone hacking into your system with that name. But that is not likely to be the case. Usually either duplicate IP or two computers with the same name.
