to clean it like the day you got it.you will lose all you have in the computer.shut off pc.on restart hold down ctrl and alt keys.while holding down start clicking F12 key.this has to be done before computer starts.when you get to the menu scroll down to item 4 IDE-CD ROM DEVICE enter follow directions and your on your way to a clear pc.youll have to reload everything such as printers anything you added after you got pc.good luck .i've done it twice already,

If you have a Dell, and the computer was purcahsed after July of 2004, you can use PC restore. If you have a different computer, try to call the manufacturer and ask for assistance on how to do a clean install of windows. This will wipe out everything (including viruses if there are some, but also including your files).
