Does anyone know if a compulsive liar twists words?

Legally if it's not the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth - it's obstruction, makes you an accomplice, and is perjury. So yes, giving misleading information is lying.

A compulsive liar is usually someone who embellishes something. It's lying, true, but it's more of an imagination gone wild.

If they have to "twist words" and play the word game then they are trying to hide something. I dated this guy who tried to explain the difference between him kissing a girl and the girl kissing him. Yeah right. It takes two to kiss. Either way he cheated and was also a Compulsive liar.

Oh they can and they will. The problem with a compulsive liar is that their lies become real to them. They don't even know fact from fiction after a while.

Of course it's lying. So is withholding information. Liars do whatever it takes to cover their lies, be it twisting words, calling you crazy, denying everything, etc.
