How do you copy a program to a cd?

I have a program on my computer wich i want to give to a friend. but i dont no how to copy the file to the cd. if i right click it and click send to cd it just copys the icon, not the actual program.

depending on what programs. some programs do not require dll or other files in windows folder, than you can just straight copy, but some you have to get the original copy

cuz i try and it just say no
you have to be a hacker to do stuff like them
i think there is no way
maybe there i am no the smartest
