Are you going to be by yourself? What is the climate, tropical or temperate??? Is fresh water available???
Water-proof tent. Warm, easily-air-dryable clothing. A lightweight rain suit. Sneakers and socks. A couple of good sharp knives (one with a sawblade) , a small collapsible shovel, some water, unless clean water is available, otherwise you can get a reverse-osmosis hand pump which will filter bad stuff out of water and render it drinkable (check an outdoor supply store), waterproof matches, long-burning candles and a candle lantern. Fishing line, hooks and a few artificial worms (?). A warm sleeping bag. Some kind of antiseptic and a basic first aid kit. Non-spoilable food such as dried fruit, nuts, beef jerkey and vitamins. One good book,a blank notebook, pencils and a small pencil sharpener. A bunch of baby-wipes in a re-sealable plastic bag (for "special" occasions). A signal mirror, a personal EPIRB (emergency position indicating radio beacon). Are you allergic to any kind of insect bite? Maybe take some kind of antidote for that. Mosquito repellant - can come in individual sealed packets for one-time use.

Well, let's see. A month isn't too long, so how about water, food, portable music player/CDs with extra batteries; flashlight/extra batteries, matches to start the fire at night. Couple changes of clothes or go naked for a month (after all it is deserted, right?). Couple good books to read. that should get you through 30 days.
