Keep going, do not give up. I have been in college 4 yrs now and have 6 more classes to go. I am also tired, but in the long run it will pay off.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way. It sounds like you are a bit overwhelmed. I know that my first semester in college was very hard for me. I did, however, take a break from highschool (about 2 years) until I went to college... so I did the whole "job" first, thing and worked out some other issues. I as well have struggled even currently in my situation in school - because of personal issues. Sometimes you really need to collect yourself before you are ready, sometimes other people need that "get good grades or else" pressure in order to keep on track. It really comes down to what is going to make you feel the best mentally, physically in your environment. If you feel you need to take a break from school, then do that, but make sure that you weight all the pros and cons first.
good luck

I'm pretty much in your situation as well, but in my first semester. Personally, if you think you need time to figure out your life, what you want to do, etc., you should take it. By just continuing how you're going now you're going to become even more stressed, which is never good. Slow down and just realize its not the end of the world if you transfer to a community college or even take a year or semester off to figure stuff out. I suggest just really thinking about what you want before you make a decision, but m ake sure you make a decision that you want, no one else. It's your life. Good luck!

You sound like a pretty good kid, honest enough to admit your fears, I guess you must be in your late teens or early twenties. Yeah, you might get to feel a little worse, but a college education would make sure you feel a whole lot better in the next twenty years of your life, and when you get to that stage, with your wife and kids at dinner, then you'll realise that your decision to face the college challenge was not in vain. The smile in your face when you look in the mirror each day would tell it all. See you in twenty years time, who knows, I might be your staff...

You can take a sabbatical from your studies for a year if you want. Get a job and do what you want and learn responsibility. Then you can come back and continue your studies.
Every college has "personal leaves" for students who want or need time off.
