My kids make my day - each of them in their own special way. I have 3 (8, 7 and 5).

1. My oldest told me a couple of weeks ago that he was really hoping it would get cold soon because he missed my red hair. Last year, I dyed my hair strawberry blonde in the winter and I guess he assumed I was going to do it again. So, on Halloween, before they got home from school, I dyed it again. I went out to the bus stop to get them and he saw me. In front of all his friends and everyone, he screams, "Mommy! You are BEAUTIFUL!" MADE MY DAY! And was totally worth the $6.00 I spent on the dye :-)

2. My middle child is a handful and a half. He has ADD and kind of seems like he's always up and down. However, when you get him alone, he is the sweetest, most adorable and loving child ever. We were on our way to a cub scout meeting just last night and he says to me, "Mommy, do you ever wish you didn't have kids?" I told him, "Never in a million years! I love each of you so much and I wouldn't know what to do without you guys!" Then he killed me when he said, "Yeah, I wouldn't know what to do without you either. I probably wouldn't get a mommy as good as you anyway. You're the best." MADE MY WEEK with that one :-)

3. My youngest is a girl and she and I share a room. One morning about a week ago, I woke up to find her in my bed instead of her own. I reached over and started playing with her hair and she woke up all smiles. She reached out and gave me a big hug and said, "It's just like I dreamed it, Mommy." I asked her what she meant and she told me, "I dreamed we got to snuggle in the morning and we are! It's going to be a great day...that was in my dream, too!" I love that girl...Another MADE MY DAY!

I've never found a more fullfilling job than being a mom. Just being Mommy makes my day :-) Great question, Mr. 5 Year Old!

Oh how precious! I would have to say that God makes my day. He starts with the sunrise, mixes it with the love of my 5 year old daughter, and a friend or two. That makes my day very happy!

Natural events such as hearing a bird calling to its mate, or the sun shining on the show causing diamond type sparkles. So it is nature that makes my day, every day :-)

Wonderful that your son loves to question and that you pose his questions here.
