Why worry? No matter when we pull out Iraq will collapse into a civil war. That is the trend when countrys invade other countrys to "rebuild" them. So we are the bad guy no matter what.
Because we are there, terrorists exist in Iraq. So now that they have settled in Iraq will always be a mess.

There will not be a withdrawal from Iraq, because our enemy is Ahmadinejad and al Assad of Syria. This goes a lot deeper than the average blogger even thinks about. The average complainer here is still on page one of this war. That is where Saddam is our enemy and democracy must be established.
We have gone beyond these fundamentals because this war has taken a turn and we are turning with it. To withdraw would mean that we are no longer a stones throw away from Syria or Iran in the event they want to ratchet up the stakes. We have boots on the ground right in their own back yard. We probably need to stay put and not jump to withdrawing our troops because the new brain trust of the liberal party (Nancy Pelosi) says so.
Unfortunately, we probably need to educate her and her ilk, so they too, can understand the reality of Iraq. Whether she can comprehend all of this remains to be seen. As their new leader, the liberals must depend on her and her judgment so that she can show true leadership, as the speaker of the house.

Dems will do their best to cut off funding for the WOT (which includes Iraq, but it not ONLY Iraq--a nuance too delicate for them to understand.) With Rangel in charge of Ways and Means, the funding will be cut, a withdrawal date will be announced, and the terrorists will wait us out. They have infinite patience. They have been flooding into Iraq to fight us there...good. Better there than here. The Iraqis need to step up to the plate and take responsibility for their own country and their own lives. They CAN do it....they had elections earlier this year with over 90% turnout. We were thrilled this year with just over 40% (I think it was 40) How pitiful is that? The country will descend into civil war and it will spread throughout the Middle East. And Israel will be involved and we are obligated to come to their aid.
We will then be called upon (AGAIN) by the UN (who do some great relief stuff but in general cannot tell its *** from its elbow) to clean up the mess that the Democrats laid us open to. Of course, there will be another attack on our soil for them to explain also. They care nothing about national security and I hate to think of the nation that my grandchildren will inherit one day. I'm afraid that this will end up nuclear, on some scale.

Nothings going to happen for a long time; it wouldn't be prudent to pull out troops at this stage, however, now with Gates at the helm I'm sure within the next few months (remember the holidays are coming, so nothing big will happen until after they're over), all areas of concern will be addressed and a much needed "push" to get a timetable in place will happen; I still say we're probably at least 2 years away from pulling out completely; also, our own Homeland Security issues will be taken more seriously and the idiots who have spent their "security monies" on items like new uniforms or fleets of cars as opposed to proper training of police, fire personnel, etc. will be taken to task and handed their as*es on a silver platter...

More than likely we will keep some troops over there along with UN forces. Hopefully things will change along with attitudes among the Iraqi heads and civilians. Really don't see a drastic change except for more push on Iraqi government to take charge of situation.Demos will clean up what Reps have caused, not to forget who really pays for it all...the troops and their families! Good query and hope everything works out with this new house!

Our service men keep getting killed in Iraq, those people don't want us over there and never have. Our President insists that we stay until there is a victory. Victory of what? Let the people fight amongst themselves. until they settle their differences. When we had the war between the states here in America, no other country came over and tried to settle it for us. It is the same thing going on over there in Iraq. It is all about power! I say bring our boys home!
They are fighting a losing battle!

Iraq's government will have to be under strict surveillance and support. It crazy how unstable it is over there. There's no telling what could errupt without some sort of U.S. military support over there. I am pretty sure we will set up permanent bases in Iraq in the future to help prevent a meltdown.

Worried for what? That we MIGHT stop spending billions of OUR money for religious-based war groups to keep killing each other? Our presence there isn't doing anything because THEY won't give up their religious ideas of who is the superior group. THAT'S why they're still fighting each other in different territories...over whose religious group is better!
