Usually, Vaseline works the best. Put it on at night and let it sink in overnight. In this morning, dab it with a tissue so it doesn't look greasy.

This very problem has plagued me for years, every time I get a cold. Even when using the Kleenex with lotion. Now there is help for all the sore nose sufferers. Mary Kay has this product called oil free hydrating gel and It is the best solution to have around. It provides just enough moisture and doesn't feel greasy. With in a matter of hours it started providing me relief after my very first use. If you want a free sample of this wonderful product go to marykay.com and click on find a consultant. From there you can enter your zip code and request a free sample. Trust me it is worth the price, anything that works is better than looking like Rodolph.

Donna, good answers already, but if you're prone to breaking out, stay away from Vaseline, baby oil, and any other petroleum based products. You want to moisturize with a non-comedogenic product (meaning it doesn't block pores). It's also worth teaching yourself how to blow your nose without the final twist-and-wipe being quite so harsh. That's probably what's doing it.

Carmex before you go to bed. If you stay at home a lot, just do it throughout the day and bedtime. Should clear up almost overnight

I have a little pot of medicated Blistex just for that reason, rub it in really good, while you're sleeping is a good time. Clears it up fast, but any lip balm will work.

Another vote here for an overnight layer of Vaseline. This also works great on feet, elbows, and hands.

Try some non-perfumed lotion. That should probably help clear up the dryness.
