I have a Mondeo GhiaX, all the trimmings,56K, and selling at £2000
below list price. Lovely car, tried most avenues for selling but not one buyer wanted to even look at it. Bad time of the year for selling?

auto auctions are where cars are sold wholesale. so I would say no do not sell at an auction. Ebay would be a good place to get more exposure for your car. The way to get the most for the thing is to sale it retail which means advertise in the paper, put a for sale sign in the window and wait for the right buyer. good luck

Nobody wants the big cars but you get so much more for your money. I've used auctions to offload 'dogs' on a no reserve take it as it is basis. I'd say keep it in the yellow papers (free ads) until you get a result. 56k has to be a good buy !!!

If you want your car pulled to bits by dealers and make believe dealers then take it to the auctions. I used to use auctions to buy cars but the seller never gets the price they thought the car was worth. Dont forget the fees and VAT you have to pay. if you sell private in the paper watch out for agents from car sale mags.

what year? new shape? FSH? Auction are ok for selling high mileage hard to shift cars but yours should sell ok Auctions charge a whopping wad on the hammer too! 12%+ and theres the entry fee of £30. Don't use ebay it will really annoy you and you won't get the price you want

Be patient, do not use auctions, you will get peanuts. So many on the market at the moment, just look at these Big car sale sites, some are giving them away, not literally but you know what I mean..
