It's something you'll feel within you, you'll know because it is very open care free feeling. Things won't bother you as much in life because you'll know there is more to life than this.

Many people believe that all creation happened due to chance or evolution. Please consider these facts about our marvelous earthly home and then see if this helps make God real to you;

The earth is placed at just the right distance from the sun, its source of energy in the form of light and heat.
It moves around the sun at just the right speed, and rotates on its axis every 24 hours, and has just the correct angle of tilt.
It has a protective, life-sustaining atmosphere with just the right mixture of gases.
It provides the water and soil needed to grow food.
It provides a variety of delicious and colorful fruits, vegetables and other foods.
We also are able to enjoy the beauty that exists in the sky such as rainbows, the stars and a moonlit night.
We enjoy the mountains, the streams and lakes, the varieties of beautiful fragrant flowers, plants and trees and so many other delightful living things.
When I consider all these things and how I am able to see in living color and have taste buds which enable me to enjoy all the foods the earth provides, then yes---God is real and all things were created by intelligent design.
Would a theory of evolution or chance itself, care whether we enjoyed life at all? No--but a loving Creator did and made sure that we can still have pleasure in life despite our imperfections.

I read through before answering, you have a few duds, but , a lot of good answers.

How do you know God is real?

Just close your eyes and imagine the happiest moment of your life. Look within you, He created you, He is in you. Look around at the trees the sky, the flowers. Listen to the children playing. Dogs barking. Imagine a beach, the water washing up on shore, the dolphins, whales, and other creatures in the sea. God created it ALL.

I'm not sure that anyone knows with absolute certainty that God is real. People claim to know. But, I'd say these are people who BELIEVE God is real. Some people have a very strong belief that God is real; in other words, their faith is strong.

I do not claim to know with certainty that God is real. However, based on experiences I've had in life, I do believe that God is real.

It's your responsibility to judge for yourself, in my opinion. (And by you, I mean people in general.)
Even if you choose to believe what you were taught as a child, you should, as an adult be able to examine those beliefs. Regardless of your religious background - atheist, agnostic, humanist, or devout members of a particular religion.

And that is why I think you've asked a worthwhile question.

Which God ?
how about come to an understanding and define god first.
there are over 10,000 documented gods.
which one are you reffering to ?
I'll assume the christian god since you are on an english speaking forum, although it could still be any number of other gods.
God is an interesting concept, but as soon as you try prove any specifics the concept falls apart due to absolutely no evidence.

someone on the board said there is creation, so there must be a creator. Let's be constistent in our thinking, so who created the creator ?

How do you think this world was made-by God. Look around this all didn't just happen. I may not be able to prove that He is real but no one can prove He is not real.

He leaves a few clues for you: nature shows His glorious sense of beauty and order and detail. The Bible has faithfully recorded His Words for over 3000 years. His prophets have shown us many signs and wonders that cannot be explained. His Son lived a perfectly sinless life and died, uncomplaining and forgiving of His enemies (and we still know all about it 2000 years later!). His disciples did many miracles and unbelievable things. Today, His followers continue to do amazing things, impossible things.

Read your Bible, explore openly, talk to God in prayer and you'll know.

I am of The True Christian Faith and I know absolutly that God is real. But I can not "prove it" to you. No one of The Faith can. I can give my testimony and witness to what God has done for me... but I can not "prove" any thing I maight tell you about God... The Proof of God is between God and Whomever comes to Him in The Way He proscribes... You first have to come in "faith" and in compleat repentance in The Name of Jesus The Christ(and all that implies)...Confess you unworthiness and sin... ask God's forgivness...and mean it with all of your heart... if you are genuanly repentant and honest in your coming you will receive God's free gift of Salvation... and you will receive your "proof" that God is real.....

I accept email questions concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith. 1 honest question receives 1 honest reply to the best of my ability.

Faith comes from hearing, and hearing a Word about Christ / God. (A True Word.)

With heart faith in God & Jesus, we are born of God. Spiritually reborn. Can communicate with God 24/7. Faith is a gift of God.

How does a born of God Christian know God is real. Because Christian has a personal relationship restored with God. And knows in their knower God Is.

[007:052] Certainly, We have brought to them a Book (the Qur'̢n) which We have explained in detail with knowledge, Рa guidance and a mercy to a people who believe.

[007:053] Await they just for the final fulfillment of the event? On the Day the event is finally fulfilled (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), those who neglected it before will say: "Verily, the Messengers of our Lord did come with the truth, now are there any intercessors for us that they might intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back (to the first life of the world) so that we might do (good) deeds other than those (evil) deeds which we used to do?" Verily, they have lost their ownselves (i.e. destroyed themselves) and that which they used to fabricate (invoking and worshipping others besides Allâh) has gone away from them.

[007:054] Indeed, your Lord is Allâh, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and then He rose over (Istawâ) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty). He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the creation and commandment. Blessed is Allâh, the Lord of the 'Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!

[007:055] Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret. He likes not the aggressors.

[007:056] And do not do mischief on the earth, after it has been set in order, and invoke Him with fear and hope. Surely, Allâh's Mercy is (ever) near to the good-doers.

[007:057] And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain). Till when they have carried heavy-laden clouds, We drive it to a land that is dead, then We cause water (rain) to descend thereon. Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall raise up the dead, so that you may remember or take heed.
