The average recovery time for ACL reconstruction is about 1 year with intense physical therapy. I know a few people who had the surgery, and after a year they were doing everything they were doing before getting injured. I know it is not fun now, but take it easy, do everything the dr and therapist tells you to do, and you will be good as new.

I had an ACL surgery, the swelling will go down.
Please pay more attention to physical therapy. I didn't, and now I wish I had. (3 years later)

This kind question you need to ask your doctor. If he told you, it would. You need to give it a time, eventually it will reduce.
