.....after hearing that Birmingham council changed its opinion and let a muslim women have her picture on her driving licence with her face covered.
....after hearing of a primary school in Birmingham where a boy was told that for PE they could wear football shirts of league teams (Aston Vila, Birmingham etc etc) but NOT an England shirt as it may offend others!
Take it or leave it. I am tired of this nation (UK) worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture.
I am not against immigration, nor do i hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to the UK. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to the uk, and apparently some born here, need to understand. As Britons we have our own culture, society, language and our own lifestyle. Our culture has been developed over centuries of war and struggle.
You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.
So stop moaning and dont forget "THE RIGHT TO LEAVE"

You have WAY more of a problem over in the UK with your Muslims than we do here.
You let them walk all over you.
They are nice and contained and kept in their place here and we like it that way.
Sure the women here who wear the full covering burka get dirty looks and that's the way we like it.
They deserve them! Muslims are much better behaved when they are intimidated.--like here in the USA.

Take it or leave it or go back to your scummy countries.

Sorry I don't bow to your Politically Correct Religion.
You scream 'RACIST'! ALL YOU WANT...
I think you PC pusses are a joke,

You have PC run amok over there, you hand over your nationalism, your values, your traditions and everything else the UK ancesters fought so hard for, on a silver platter in the name of multiculturalism,
it will be the downfall of your country, your BAD , not good, brand of democracy.

Whats this about a muslim woman having a vail over her face for a driving licence, how come? if all the muslim women had the same treatment, all their pictures could be off the same negative. And what about driving, how safe are they if they drive like that, do they? I suppose so. If they have an accident, what do you tell the insurance. Oh!! I THINK it was a woman, because she was covered from head to toe in black, but maybe it wasn't, perhaps it was a man, but anyway they had dark eyes and I would recognise them anywhere. God help us this country has gone to the dogs, and just when you think it can't get any worse, this sort of stupidity comes up. Birmingham council I shitum !!! and I was born in Sutton Coldfield, it was much better then, there was only a war on and people seemed normal.
I am so fortunate that I have lived for the past sixty years, in an area where even today, most are English. We have plenty of crap around but at least it's English crap. I do hope I haven't offended anyone, but if I have what do I care? 'cause I'm helping to support whatever comes to live off my country...... Do I mind? yes I bloody well do!!!!!

Thanks, feel better now.!!!

Jane1 just above my ramble. I whish you were British I love your comments

I don't think you can her racist for this one, it is difficult in today's climate to keep silent. I have always tried to keep my own council on views such as race and my view of different cultures, and lets face it we all know people that belong to a different culture that are more pleasurable to be with than members of our own culture.
What I do find increasingly more disturbing is when people try to inflict their culture on to my own. I don't care if some women want to wear a vail, it's up to them, but when it infringes on the mechanics of life it is wrong.
I live in Jack Straws constituency and the population of Muslims is 25% saw some balance is needed and accommodation is made for certain aspects of Islamic culture. However sometimes it can get a bit much.

We have to get the Bulldog spirit back and stop all these P.C. people trying to walk over us. We should make these people conform to the British way of life, or make them leave. There is going to be an almighty bust up in this country soon and the rivers of blood speech that Enoch Powell gave, will be proved to have been right. I have many friends of all races and religions and they all say the same thing, that the P.C. brigade cause more racial and religious disharmony than all the racist groups do together. They also say they respect my views as I respect theirs and we don't need people telling us what we can and can't say.

i imagine some thing very similar develop into printed some weeks in the past. I stated then that Birmingham city Council does no longer mission using licences to absolutely everyone, wearing veils or no longer. I see that yet another poster also made this aspect, and were given a load of "undesirable answer" rankings for his worry. so that you anti-immigrant varieties on right here basically trust regardless of you favor to. As some different person stated, the right to leave applies to you too - yet on the different hand, maximum veil-wearers right here were born right here, they have as a lot authentic to be right here as any people.

Big deal, big deal....

I doubt if the story about the driving licence is true; everyone knows that it's the DVLA that issues driving licences, they certainly wouldn't trust local councils to do it! So the rest of the story is a bit suspect. What's your source????

Kids' football shirts... don't know if it's true or not, but it hardly matters one way or the other. There's no reason after all that the Asian kids or whatever wouldn't wear them as well.....

"You asked to be here" - well no, most Muslims here now were born here. It's live and let live, "So stop moaning and dont forget "THE RIGHT TO LEAVE", it applies to you too.

i couldn't agree with you any more strongly than i do,
it is long past time that the ENGLISH people stood up together for their rights, and stopped allowing all the do-gooders and pc brigade from stripping us of our heritage and culture.and everything else that we have over the years fought hard for.

lets not let the men and women who gave their lives for us,die in vain,
