There is an excellent open source package called GIMP, I use it to create / modify all sorts of graphical images. In my case it runs under Linux, but somebody may have "ported" it for Windoze.

I got a gift voucher for a birthday present used it at PC world to buy print master I think it was a £1o one it has about 2/3 Cd's but it works

I use a program called Print Master. I think is is great. I make all of my cards not just Christmas with it. I also make my gift tags and so much more.

Wow, so many programs for this, Google it and you might find a free program, or if you have MS Office use Publisher or even Word -
Set page to A5 landscape, put a picuture on one side, file print (put A5 paper in printer if possible), fold down middle. et voila.

any version of Microsoft publisher program. this is easy to use allowing free movement of any text and pictures. it also includes many pre-made design layouts as well as lots of cartoon pictures you can use on your card.
