None. There is obesity epidemic in this country right now. There is no positive from obesity. Along with obesity comes diabetes, GERD, hypertension, sleep apnea, and much more! To the idiot who wrote "You're never hungry". Most people with obesity don't seem to have satiety/a feeling of fullness. They're emotional eaters, compulsive over-eaters, snackers, ect. So the thought that someone who gains weight rapidly has a constant feeling of fullness is the reason I called you an idiot. This is nothing to be made fun of, this is basically a rising disease. Food can now be categorized as an addiction!

PS. I don't want to only single-out the girl who wrote that comment. There are many ignorant post here that either point out there are insecure people posting, or there are obese people making fun of the obese because they don't want anyone to think they're "fat". Psffftt...America really needs to put more money in the school budget.

There is absolutely nothing good that can come from being obsese. One who is obese is taking in too much food energy than they need and spend. However, one can be "overweight" and in good health. Keep in mind that overweight is not the same as obese. By obtaining your BMI you can find out whether you are overweight obese, healthy or underweight. There are many chronic illnesses and diseases that come from being obese and can also lead to life-threatening conditions.

You have lots of stored energy in the form of fatty tissue. If you get stranded on a desert island, or you are cut off from food for a long time, your body can use this stored energy to help keep you alive longer (the energy your brain, organs, and muscles require will be available for longer!). But it is not really worth it since it is such an unlikely situation :D
