I feel a little awkward sometimes, but I usually just put my arm around the person and try to be helpful....admittedly that doesn't always work lol.

It really just depends on the guy. Some don't mind an emotional woman. Some like it. Some don't. It sometimes depends on the relationship and how they see the relationship you have with a person as to how they would respond to emotions. My friends talk to me all the time. They are emotional almost all the time. I listen to what they have to say as to why they are emotional. I try to rationalize in my mind the best thing that I can do to help them understand whatever it is that they are going through. Sometimes there is nothing you can say but just be there for them.

The question really can't be answered without generalizing. I personally think that it depends on how the guy was raised, what he has been through, what you are emotional about, and how often you get emotional. There is nothing wrong with being emotional, but it is a reflection of how well you can accept the truth and what your real fears are.

No it would not make me uncomfortable at all, if i was with a women, and she was getting emotional i would comfort her, and dry her tears, and get in touch with her emotions. i also think this would be a moment of bonding. i think it would be very important to comfort her, and help her with what ever was bothering her. yes guys get emotional too, a lot of them just hold them in until they explode, which is never good. talking about things that bothers you and having someone who really cares and listens to you is a good thing, every one has problem but not everyone has someone to lean on thank you for asking this question.

It depends on how often she gets emotional and the reason for it...yes, it can make us want to comfort her; it can also make us damned uncomfortable, depending on the situation and the setting. But one thing is for certain: If you come to us with a problem, don't expect us to just sit there and listen to it. In the end, we're going to suggest a solution...that's what we do, we fix things. women, by and large just want an ear to bend and most guys aren't great at just listening to endless whining(unless we're getting $150 an hour as a psychologist!) .

I guess it depends how often. I don't have a problem with a woman expressing herself emotionally. I think it is very healthy and wish I could do a better job of it myself. I think if a woman is in tears I would give her a hug and tell her that I am there for her if she feels like she needs to talk.

I usually don't get uncomfortable when a girl gets emotional, I just sit and listen if she has anything (valuable) to say. How do I comfort one? Never had to, never will..

It depends I generally like and loves a smart non emotional woman. But if circumstance demands she can get emotion I would love that. I hate when they get emotion for unwanted things such as seeing cockroach in bath.

I think some do and some don't. Some want to comfort, others run. Actually, chicks do the same thing. Some are comforters, others are runners.

My BF knows just how to deal with it. He lets me cry or talk or do whatever I need to do and then he's just there for me however he can be. If I need him to distance himself, he does and if I need him to hold me, he will.
A real, strong, faithful, loving and loyal man will deal with your up's and down's and will never make you feel uncomfortable about them.
