You will get many responses for this question recomending this vitamin or that vitamin. As a registered nurse of "several" years, I recomend NO vitamin supplements unless you are certain of a deficiency. Many supplements contain substances which can actually harm your kidneys and/or liver. It is recomended that you eat a balanced diet packed with fresh fruits and veges and limit alcohol consumption. The kidneys and liver filter out un-needed or extra electrolytes, toxins, or minerals from the blood. Adding unnecessary nutrients will only overwork these organs. If either or both of these organs are damaged, you need to consult with your physician so he or she can tell you the best diet regimen for your individual needs.
