Is it weird for girls/guys in their late teens or early 20s to not have a gf/bf and/or haven't gone on a date?

I'm no dating expert but I do know that everyone has different times to start searching. Sooner or later that "yearning" will kick in and you'll be ready for a relationship. I have a friend that didn't start dating until he was about 26 and got married at 29. So, personally, I don't think it's weird.

One strong word of advice: Don't rush hastily into something like that. Wait until you're comfortable with doing it. Don't let others pressure you into doing it. Best of luck to you. ^.^

I think it's not weird to have a bf/gf but it's a little weird to no have been on a date. Dates are fun. Just go and have a good time. Don't worry about impressing anyone, just be yourself and have a good time.

Girl, I know this might sound pathetic, but I'm 24, and the first serious relationship I had, started in June this year. (And unfortunately ended three days ago! :-( ) Before that, I just went out with my friends a lot, and met lots of dudes through them. Almost like going on a date in a group. Loads of fun without the hassle or the sh!t a bf brings...

Don't go looking for love... it'll find you!

No, not at all. I have 3 sons and My oldest Son was in his second year of college before he had his first girlfriend. He was not interested in wild girls, so it took him time to find one that was not wild. My other Son is 19 and he hasn't dated yet. He said he see what all his friends go through with girls, he wants no part of it now until he can afford one! For now just wants to have fun, hanging out with his friends, with no one harping on him.. My other Son is only 14, but he seems to be like the others so far, He is only interested in one girl, Who isn't allowed to date yet, So he says he'll wait till she can. So I don't think it's weird at all. you never know a persons reasons until you ask them.

Its not weird, no matter what anyone else might think or say. It could depend on a lot of different factors, I know people that didn't date until they got into college.
If you're worried about it and the question is about you, why not try asking someone out yourself? Life is too short not to try things and asking someone out, though scary as it seems, is only a temporary situation. If they say "no", find someone else and just consider it their loss.

It's not weird. Some people are just very shy and/or picky. I didn't go out on a date until I was 19, and that relationship lasted for four years.

i'm 23 and have stopped dating for the past 2 years because i've decided that i'm wasting too much time on the wrong men. i love men, one day i'll marry probably... i don't think it's weird. no sense into rushing into something just to be the "norm", then have a $hit-a$$ relationship to live with for the rest of your life, you know?
take your timmmme.

It's not weird at all, you should find yourself doing more entertaining things than dating. Ex.. If you have a job you'll always have more money than your friends, you don't have someone to explain things to you could up and go on vacation anywhere anytime find yourself get yourself financially secure, physically healthy and the dates will come to you!!!! serious dates too!, not children who think they are grown up!!!!

I didn't have my first relationship till I was 22. I was perfectly fine being single and had it not felt right with this person... I probably would still be single. Live it up and make sure you know what you want so when you do find Mr or Mrs Right, you know what you are looking for. One day it will feel right and it's as simple as that.

Honey, I'm 18
I've never had a b/f and have only ever been on one date
Join the club
It's not wierd
Ever heard of saving the best for last?
I think that gals like us are meant to be last in getting a b/f or husband, cuz we'll be the best one they ever got cuz we waited! ^_^ (and we'll know everything NOT to do cuz we'll have watched all our friends who did have relationships make the mistakes! *grin*)
