Can you carry on a healthy relationship with your ex whom you dumped years back?I'm married for 5 years and broke up with my the boyfriend for my husband. My ex now wants us to be friends. He is married as well. However am afriad it might create problems in my relationship. Whats your thought on this?

My husband is not thrilled to say the least about this, but because i was the one who dumped him, i feel obliged to consider my ex's request...he says his wife is very understanding of his feelings. I deeply love my husband so there are no "feeling" from my end

It's possible. I'm dealing with it right now. Just reassure your husband that he's the one your with and there is nothing beyond a friendship with the other person. My guy had a problem with it in the beginning, but is fine with it now that he knows there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

I most certainly think it would cause issues. As a general rule a spouse does not like even the thought of their significant other on speaking terms with an Ex.

I guess its ok. does your husband know about this?does his wife know about it also? if you guys broke up on bad terms then I dont think you should be friends with him anymore. also if theres feeling still left there then its not such a good idea to be friends cause it could lead to things and ruin your marriage and his aswell.

Well for it to be feasible, how about you asking your hubby and he ask his wife if it's ok for you all to be friends?
IF you were involved, is it ok? Does your hubby stay friends with his ex? IF he does, then it should be ok for you to also.
