Why do you ask questions that provoke religious/nonreligious people and then complain about their answers later? Isn't that kind of childish?

I understand that answering and asking questions to challenge those with opposing views is fun and interesting- I enjoy it myself- but why would you then turn around and complain about the responses you get when that was exactly what you were seeking out?

Hey! that's a lot of responses! Just to point out, I am asking about people who put questions up simply to provoke- serious questions don't count in this one, 'cuz people who complain about that have every right to.

I often find myself wondering the same thing.

I guess a lot of people take themselves too seriously.

Very good. I get that alot. People will email me on the side complaining about my answer. My only response is: you asked, I answered. If you have a problem with my response and want to talk about it, cool. I've had people do that as well, and I welcome it. But don't come crying just cuz you don't like the answer given.

I had a very unusual thing happen last week. Someone disagreed with my response, but picked it as the best one because I was the only one that attempted to answer the question. Very mature. Don't imagine I will see that too often. People are more likely to pick the answer that goes along with their thinking wether it answers the question or not. That's why I don't like answering some questions, but I just can't keep myself away from some of them.

my guess is the complaints are about the method more then the answer. If one addresses a question to christians it is rude for non-christians to add their un solicited opinions especially in a rude immature way. I have heard really foolish answers made rudely and use the excuse we have free speach. Some of these answers if spoken to someone would be rewarded with a broken nose. Since they are safe from the broken nose then I must assume they are being cowards with big mouths in a dark crowded closet. Like teens on a phone asking if your refrigerator is running. Best way to handle this is to eliminate their pay off. Your question is a pay off and some coward is chuckling somewjhere maybe many cowards are chukkling. Ig nore them and it will go away.

I'm an Atheist

We complain because lots of the Christian's so called answers are not even answers to begin with

These are not answers

I'll pray for you
go to hell
I have faith
If you dont believe, why bother NOTE: THIS IS A QUESTION, NOT AN ANSWER

In some cases, you don't like the answer. I feel that, after asking that question, you have every right to complain. What's stupid is to complain without knowing if your assertion is correct.

I used to get angry when I didn't get the answers I was looking for too. I have realized that it's not about saving the world, but trying to make contact with the people I can relate to and focusing on them.

There are a lot of people living in upset that the world doesnt run "their way" instead of learning to be ok with the way it is, when they do that they will find the world shifts around them.

All you need to do is complain about these answers and you'll fit in with the rest of the hypocrites.

Some are looking only for answers they agree with. I have had questions and answers removed because someone did not like them.
