Absolutely not. The powerful elite, who don't want change to occur in society, will always find new ways to try to divide people. Whether it be based on skin color, sex, religion, national origin or sexual preference - "divide and conquer" is the oldest and most effective military strategy in the world. As long as the disenfranchised can be kept at each others throats instead of working together for equality and fairness, we will continue to fail in our struggles.

Hypothesis: Everyone who has the same shade of color gets along.
Evidence: I am the same shade as my brother. We do not get along. Ditto for others of the same shade.
Hypothesis: disproved.

However, I do think it would be nice if there were less obvious divisions between people because this causes the ignorant to become fearful and consequently hateful.

No then it would be your eye color or how you cut your hair. People dont hate because of how someone looks, they hate because they have so many other problems they cannot distinguish reality from what they imagine that person represents, just by being different.
