you can inherit addiction to alochol, but not tolerence. tolerence is actually formed. how much you drink on a weekly basis, body weight, and gender. Females are generally smaller than a male so they can not tolerate as much. then you measure by composer. the alochol could hit you, but you may not feel it or you hide it well that you are drunk. Then you have to look into medical, your parents may not be able to drink beer because of the carbanation and their stomachs. it may have nothing to do with tolerance at all.

I would think so because my mom has a high tolerance for alcohol and that's all I can drink. My dad only drinks beer but it makes me sick. My mom used to drink straight liquor and that's all I can drink.

Partially yes. For example, a notable percentage of Asians have livers that do not break down alcohol as efficiently. This is explained by heredity.

Partially no. If you drink enough, you can build your tolerance for alcohol.

Tendancy or tolerance.
Tendancy yes. Tolerence is developed.
Sure seems to be in my family history.
My Mom is under the table after 3 sips of a margarita, my dad can hang on for hours and I may be intoxicated but, you'd never know it.
Yeah I think so.

I believe it is genetic to an extent. people who drink can build their own tolerances to alter the effect og genetics. Basically, you are not destined to be like your parents. You do have some control over it.
