Well without stealing or buying used copies, why don't you just go with OpenOffice? It's free. It has text, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, and database (sound like Microsoft Office anyone?). The nice thing though is these programs can open Microsoft Office files as well as save in the Microsoft Office formats.
So this is the cheapest method for you, and this program works great.
