Here's a good source from DIY network

Remember to use goggles, mask and rubber gloves; take off all cabinet doors and hardware; purchase stain specific stripper as opposed to all purpose stripper and use old paintbrushes or cheap new ones to apply the stripper; cover with plastic and be patient to let the stripper do it's work.
I like the gel strippers best as they adhere best to the surface and are easy to see where you applied the stripper.
Once done consider using a wood treatment to the cabinets for even restaining or a good primer sealer if painting. Fill in all holes with a paintable wood putty and consider changing out the hardware at this time.
My best friend has been the Dremel tool for getting in those cracks and crevices of the cabinet doors and molding and grout in the kitchen.
